Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born South London, England into an ethnically diverse family. Her father is Nigerian-Swiss as is her mom who's English. Her family was raised in an estate in south London community estate, and at the age of fourteen, she attended The Brit School. In London, she studied at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in which her acting diploma was obtained. While at the academy, she performed in a number of performances on stage, such as King Henry V playing Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe launched her acting career in the movie Storm Damage. Since then she has appeared in Teachers and Doctors. Madekwe's debut film role was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. The film's success led her to play Elisha in a single-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot, then appear in six episodes Trexx and Flipside playing the character of Ollie. In the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl saw her in 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe also appeared on the comedic How to Lose Friends and to annoy people (2008). Her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009, with the dramatic The Beautiful Life. The series aired only two episodes before it was ended on The CW. Ashley Davenport, a character on ABC's Revenge drama series, was cast as Ashley Davenport. In late May 2013, it was announced that Madekwe, who had appeared on the show as a series regular for the past two seasons, had decided to quit the show with a guest appearance on the premiere episode of the new season. She starred as Tituba in the TV show Salem from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe married her actor partner Iddo goldberg in June of 2012. Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, was born into a big family from Hamilton, Ontario. Ashley Leggat was a part of Roy and Patty as well her older siblings, Brett, Todd and Bram and Rob.
