Her birthplace was in Santa Monica, California on 26 November, 1986. She is the daughter of her father Vincenzo Barba, and mother Valerie Barba. Her family and she moved from New Jersey's Point Pleasant to Jersey, at 6. The school she attended was Red Bank Catholic High School, New Jersey. She was a graduate of Catholic University in New Jersey with a bachelor's degree. As a violinist from the age of 4, Violingirl was her nickname. It was because of her ability that she got by the name Violin Girl. Also, she taught children in the locality how to play the violin. She sang Free throughout 1976 when she made the auditions for the sixth season of American Idol when she was age 19. She was eventually eliminated when she finished 16th on American Idol. There were several songs she performed like 'The Christmas Sing 2009' as well as 'Out for Blood in 2010'. She also appeared in a variety of TV shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live!
