Chando lives with her family in New York City. Chando was a student of Manhattan College when she became an actress. Chando originated the role of Maddie Coleman on the television soap drama As the World Changes. She played from 2005 to 2007 and again for several months starting in the middle of 2009. Alexandra first made an acting appearance in 2002 on the TV series House Blend playing the character of Jenna Harper. She also played Maddie Coleman in the CBS television soap As the World Turns for three years. Chando was first seen on television with True life (an American documentary) late in 2009. Later, in 2009 she was a guest on Sherri, a show on TV. Chando starred in two episodes on the American drama-comedy TV show Glory Daze. In addition, she has appeared in Castle, Hindsight and Dead People.
